What Do I Need to Apply for Fiscal Sponsorship?
The specific requirements for applying to different fiscal sponsorship programs will vary depending on the nonprofit that is offering fiscal sponsorship. There is no downside to contacting a prospective fiscal sponsor directly if you have questions about the materials they are requesting through their application process.
Common Requirements When Applying for Fiscal Sponsorship
- Mission Statement or Company Description – Your prospective fiscal sponsor will want to ensure that your mission aligns with theirs, therefore a mission statement or description of what you intend to do through your artistic entity will likely be asked.
- Estimated Annual Budget – For most fiscal sponsors, there is not a requirement for the amount of income that you estimate receiving each year. However, most fiscal sponsors will ask this question to get a sense for the amount of administrative work that will be required by adding you as a fiscal sponsoree.
